Coming of Age!

This Malibu B'nah Mitzvah invitation was one of the most fun and unique that I have created. I was so honored to be entrusted with such an important tradition in the Jewish faith. A B’nah Mitzvah is the plural of Bar Mitzvah, the tradition when children turn 13 and take on the responsibilities in the community and attend are obliged to attend religious services. This was a celebration of twins (a boy and girl). I worked to bring a balance for formality while attending to elements that pre-teens (or now teens) could appreciate.

The kids had a full weekend packed with activities and fun at the Gindling Hiltop Camp. I’m sure they had a blast! Unfortunately, the site was destroyed only a few weeks later in the California wildfires. I am glad we created a map to remember what the camp once looked like and I hope that they rebuild and make the camp even better than it looked.

A Guys Trip to Montana

Guys trips are great, but the details and memories start to fade over the years. Some memories you will never forget… A while back, we were contacted by a very supportive wife to create a poster that she could frame and give to her husband and friends to capture the highlights of their guys trip. Every 5 years these guys meet up to hit their favorite fishing spots and swap stories in Montana. It’s a really cool tradition. Carol worked very hard to make sure this map was masculine and whimsical at the same time. Check out the map and think about how you could use a map to remember your next family vacation or special trip.

Selling?! Grab Their Attention!

The real estate market is still humming along, but agents are facing more and more competition from new agents, sell by owner, and internet-based real estate brokerage firms. Traditional agents must do more for their clients and stand out to potential buyers and sellers to justify their traditional higher fees in the age of internet. Agents must be proactive, creative, and have the right experience to attract the right clients. This is where CW Designs can help.

Over the past few years we have created more and more material for real-estate agents and property developers looking to get a competitive edge. One of the most in demand pieces are our custom maps. A custom map can highlight an agents recent sales, a hot new location with properties available, or surrounding attractions. These maps can be incorporated into all sorts of promotional material including; mailers, door-hangers, magnets, handouts for home showings, and even websites.

In addition to custom maps we also create business cards, stationery, signage, and logos. Our designs stand out and grab the readers attention. An agent that stands out is one that will stand out to potential buyers! We want agents to think outside the box because when you can sell yourself clients know you can sell their home. Check out some of the latest designs we have created for locally and around the country.

Emily & Alex's South Beach Wedding!

Getting engaged, and the subsequent journey to the big day is a very exciting time — a journey filled with parties, planning and the occasional headache. Many times, I am contacted soon after engagement by enthusiastic brides ready to hit the ground running planning their dream wedding. I love it when I am able to work with a client throughout their engagement because I know that when we’re done the wedding day will be the easy part. A little planning up front really goes a long way, and while I am not a wedding planner, the items I design are meant to bring cohesiveness, order and beauty to the wedding day. The perfect color palette, typeface, theme, and timing are all important aspects when it comes to having a smooth running wedding and reception. Check out what I was able to do for Alex and Emily!

A Modern Classic

Over a year a go we started working with a wonderful bride, Natalie, on her upcoming wedding in Los Angeles. She and her fiancé have classic taste, but wanted something a little more unique. We went to work on a design that incorporated the aspects of a traditional wedding invitation suite with a modern twist. The classic script combined with a modern monogram brought together the old and new and the muted colors along with a bold blue only pulled the entire ensemble together. Natalie loved the look so much that she decided to carry the look throughout her entire wedding. From the wedding map, seating chart, menus, and place cards, to party favors and totes, the look was flawless. It was almost as flawless as the couple themselves! This really highlights how a wedding can truly be unique without sacrificing your style. It was a blast designing this set and working with such a sweet couple. Congratulations, Ben and Natalie! Remember, beauty is in the details. LOVE. DESIGN. PAPER.

Jillian and Brady • McKinney, Texas

This past week my good friends at Lot 207 and In Season Catering hosted an amazing rehearsal dinner for some really great people, Jillian and Brady Luby. We began working with Brady's mother, Donna, months ago creating custom invitations, menus, seating charts, table numbers... you name it. We even used a design Carol created on chocolate made by Yelibelly Chocolates! It was such a blast working with Donna, and we hope to work with her again very soon. Congratulations Jillian and Brady! Oh, and of course, Carol designed a map for their wedding! Check out some of the photo's before the party started below.
